A London Townhouse
For this young professional couple we were given carte blanche to some degree which was nice.
On a very limited budget we had fun with finishes and colour ( we don’t do beige anyway) and have since been commissioned for similar funky, colourful and contemporary schemes for other young families.
A bedroom featuring two different troupe l’ceil wall finishes.
A cream grid throughout with an overscale foliage wall panel in grey with tonal faux leather headboard.
A Chanel throw accents the bed.
Grey sisal carpet is used throughout the whole house with accent rugs and ‘limestone’ style hard flooring.
A TV , chill out area overlooking the garden is decorated with a witty ‘custom scaled’ wall panel.
A tromp l’oeil bookcase of colour coded books wallpaper add a fun and colourful starting point working though the lateral dining room and kitchen .
Dog-proofed antique grey leather covers the main seating and a swivel chair is up-graded with a beautiful Etro fabric.
Apart from some singular treats, we were tasked with a ceiling limited budget. We rose to the challenge.
In obtaining builders quotation and proffering three, we managed to save
£100.000
Opposite the main bed we upscaled existing wardrobes and original chimneypiece to create a pretty corner.
Some lovely velvet upholstery chairs and a funky gilt table all pick up the colour of the art.
At the opposite end of the ground floor from the TV room we have the kitchen.
Simple grey painted Shaker style cabinetry with dark granite tops maintain a smart and functional aesthetic .
Four funky colour striped perspex stools pick up and relate to our TV room troupe l’oeil ‘library’ wall covering.
